Many Celtic fans have kept their reactions coming in since head coach Neil Lennon provided some key updates ahead of their next league fixture.
Part of the updates provided was on Jeremie Frimpong whose updates were released on social media following a briefing. Frimpong was in action for Celtic on Thursday night as the Scottish side welcomed French outfit Lille in their final Europa League group stage match.
The player had to be substituted off after just thirty minutes into the game as Ewan Henderson had to be bought on as his replacement.
Neil Lennon was asked at an interview how Frimpong was faring ahead of their league match at the weekend and he said the Dutchman is doing well and is expected to feature for the club when they face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday.
Lennon’s meeting was recorded in a video and was then uploaded on Twitter via the official Celtic account and ever since the first minute of its upload, Celtic fans have stormed the post to reveal their reactions and opinions.
One Twitter user, Jamie Whiteford commented underneath the post and said it was good news. Another user with the handle “darren” commented with the words “Great news”, indicating that he welcomed the update from the boss wholeheartedly.
Before Frimpong was taken off in the first half of their encounter against Lille, the young player won a penalty for Celtic which Callum McGregor slotted home beautifully to make the scoreline 2-1.
Most fans who interacted under the tweet were glad about the update by Lennon and one of the users suggested that the head coach uses an unchanged starting eleven when they return to league action on Sunday against Kilmarnock.
Celtic have been inconsistent in the league this season but having already secured passage to the next round of the Europa League, they may well shift focus on how to improve on their league form.
