Scotland-Australian man McKinna spoke to Scottish publication Daily Record about the ex-Huddersfield Town midfielder. McKinna expects Mooy to make a seamless transition from Asian football to Scottish football since he already had an experience of football in the Scottish league from his time at St. Mirren in addition to the fact that his family is settled in Scotland.

Australian national team player Mooy is presently on the payroll of Shanghai Port in the Chinese league and Celtic will have to negotiate a transfer fee for him if they want to sign the midfielder when the winter transfer window restarts in the coming weeks. Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has already confirmed that the club is in the market for new players and former Brighton playmaker Mooy could be one of the players to arrive at Parkhead next month. As revealed by Postecoglou earlier this month, there would be incomings and outgoings at the club in the January transfer window.

Since his time with St. Mirren in the Scottish top flight, Mooy has gone on to play for clubs inAustralia, England and China. Mooy is presently in China as pointed out earlier, but he could make a return to the Scottish league if Celtic are able to secure his transfer.

McKinna pointed out in his interview with Daily Record that Celtic target Mooy don’t have to uproot his family since they are already based in Scotland as talked about the possibility of Mooy swapping Asian football for European football next month.
