English Premier League side Leicester City are proving that they are not joking around this summer and are indeed very much interested in the idea of bolstering their squad. The Foxes have been busy in the past few weeks after already agreeing a deal for Soumare and they have not stopped there. While they are also close to agreeing a deal in principle with Tarkowski, they are now nearing a deal for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.
Arsenal were said to be interested in signing Edouard as the London club are willing to sign a long-term replacement for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but for the second time in just a week, the Gunners have been beaten to the signing of a player. The North London club were said to be willing to sign Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City but were beaten to the deal by Aston Villa and they have now suffered another major transfer blow in the pursuit of another major transfer target.
Edouard is expected to bring some ideal quality to the Leicester City team and should also pose an attacking threat after ending last season as the best attacker in the Scottish Premiership. The striker ended the last campaign being involved with more goals (22) than anyone else in the league after scoring 18 league goals and assisting a further 4.
