Celtic’s Ronny Deila was overjoyed and full praise as he watched his team defeat Aberdeen and snatch the top spot of the Scottish Premiership League in a tough match.
Aberdeen received Celtic at the Pittodrie Stadium as both clubs faced off in their latest league match and a first half goal from Adam Rooney gave the hosts the lead after 27 had ticked down. Celtic responded by scoring the equalizer at the 38th minute when Stefan Marius Johansen made his mark on the score-sheet and tied the game up 1-1.
The team of RoonyDeila had to play with only 10 players in the pitch after Scott Brown received a 2nd yellow card at the 82nd minute and he had to leave the playing grounds for the last few minutes of the match.
Aberdeen tried to take full advantage of their numerical and attempted to score a late goal that would secure their victory but it never arrived and instead it was Celtic that managed to score at the dying minutes of the game when the Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk scored the late goal which squeezed all 3 points for Celtic.
The Norwegian manager of Celtic, Ronny Deila was thrilled with the victory of his club when playing against Aberdeen and he said: “It was a fantastic win, I’m so proud of the team.We fought all the way and got the goal in the end.We knew it was going to be a hard game and to get three points, that’s what I call team spirit and togetherness.”
This hard fought victory puts Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership League with 26 points having been collected after having played 12 league matches.
